The 31st Annual Meeting of the WTSA was held June 22-25, 2005 at the Fairmont Empress Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Eric and Jo-Anne Jamieson, the local arrangements co-chairs, provided outstanding weather and arranged for the "tall ships" to make an entrance into the harbor. The social events were well attended and were all delightful. President Steve Guyton even arranged for the "Queen" to be present.
The scientific program was once again outstanding. Dr. Robbins and his committee should be congratulated for the high rate of acceptance by the JTCVS of papers presented at the 2004 meeting. A highlight of the 2005 program was Dr. Steve Guytons presidential address, "Tough Questions, Tougher Answers".
At the business meeting Elliot T. Gelfand was elected Vice President. His presidential year will be our first meeting in New Mexico.
Hope to see everyone next year in Sun Valley.
